Day 9 – A photo of the item you last purchased.

ok so i have a 30 day challenge right at the bottom of the blog. but. i haven't touched it in years. goodness me haha. but anyway, i think i will resume it gradually now.

ok so a photo of the item i last purchased.

cost me a bomb of 78.53SGD.

however that didnt stop me from getting another 3 more, or is it 4, or maybe 5. which will cost me 83.90SGD. and you know something? i still want to get some more because i want to get the fans and the photocard and the photos.

in the months to come, watch out for most post about iKON as i bought more merch like a planner, that comes with photocards and many more stuff, a stuffed toy of Junhwe (a member of iKON and also my bias) and i'm thinking of getting another stuffed toy of Junhwe. Damnit. I need to maintain myself a little.

ok, it's time i go to sleep. work resumes tomorrow and i have to fight hard!!!

Graduation!!

so hi! oh my god it's been almost a year or two since i last blogged. the last post was on November 2014...and right now it's already January 2016. time sure flies and many things had happened before i knew it.

in exactly four months' time, i will be sitting in a huge auditorium, dressed in a graduation gown preparing to collect my diploma. it's so surreal that three years in NP had passed so fast. back in year 1, i thought the journey was going to be long, but i proved myself wrong. thanks to a bunch of people i've met, my poly life got spiced up and i did things i've never done.

not forgetting the bunch of humans who've been with me since eight years ago. i can't believe the friendship has been going on for eight years and believe me, they've served their purpose as my closest friends well. i rant to them about school, even though they've never met the people i've mentioned and they too, the same to me. soon, all of eight of us (or rather, five of us), will be separated as the girls enter university, or work (for one little meow) and the guys enter the army to serve the nation for two years.

i'm a little excited for graduation, but before that, i'm nervous for uni application. truth be told, i'm a very average student. i dont necessarily do well in my assignments, but neither do i fail them. i guess i'm just in the middle. hopefully the university as well as the degree is willing to accept me. can't wait for february to come, NTU i'm coming for you.

after ^ that serious shit, i should look forward to my korea trip with my sparkling friends!! or bkk, hk, taiwan if we need to go nearer. honestly can't wait for all of these above to happen. weeeeeeeeeeeee.

*on a side note, time to go back to doing a deadly analysis paper.
** or maybe a nap.

so.... when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it.

easy to say, tough to fulfil. I'm tired and almost at my limit. Poly isn't as easy as I thought. So much drama

Year 2 baby

Latest update: K session with the awesomest bowling committee people @ Teo Heng KTV (J10) last night & it was freaking cheap oh-em-gee! $5 for 5 person (actually went up to 8 but ya). Brought our own snacks bought from Giant & sang while eating snacks. Oh also brought my favourite Dewberry strawberry flavoured biscuits! Haha. I think I finally found a perfect song my for imperfect voice: Ne-yo - Mad.

Ok so let's update on wazz' happening now!

So this is the bowling committee but without Ashley our sub comm treasurer & Gerwyn our assistant project head! Starting from the bottom left: Cutter (我们的rapper), Wei Seng, Zhe Feng (我们的老大), Darren (我们的华文歌歌手) & Dion! Top left: Zhi Shing, Zheng Wei, Yeng Ting (我的glutton partner), Hui Zhen & me!

So after being in the comm with them, meetings are actually once a month now to settle some events that we are planning and also some outings with them too! Mostly Kbox-ing & eating & laughing & card playing. Really glad to have gotten closer with them after KL trip but I've also gotten to know a few more alumnis & going-to-be alumnis and I really have fun hanging out with them. But no doubt I still have my low times, afterall, they're mostly from the same school (as in more than 1 in the same sch with them) while me? Only one in HMS so a little left out, y'know? But that aside, it's always fun to hang out with them. No cliques or anything. Just us, the bowling comm.

My virgin trip down to Hard Rock Cafe @ Orchard whilst celebrating the 18th birthday of my dear brother Edwin whom I've known for...12 years already! Haha my, that's some long friendship we have. Been in the same school as him since primary school and secondary school, but this coming academic year we wouldn't be anymore because he's going into RP while I'm in NP already. Still, really grateful to have such a friend staying so nearby but seriously bro, you can be a little strong-headed. Hahah ease up a little ok!

Just that one day when my exams have finished and the rest are preparing for their last paper on a Saturday in my clique, we decided to go to SPGG and swim & relax. Well actually Lyn, Khai, Cove & J swam while I was doing stuffs for the bowling club and when I was done, we actually ended up relaxing in the spa room in the girl's restroom haha! ONLY ME & J okay haha! We tried the cold pool, the hot pool & the jacuzzi. Man the cold pool was freeeeeezing. The hot pool was rather nice but still, hot. We also tried the steam room & the sauna. But...we still preferred the steam room. After that when they all left, J & I went to bowl a few rounds and then we each went home.

Next was the trip down to S.E.A. Aquarium at sentosa. Had a okay day there but overall I enjoyed myself. But I still hate what happened there and that grudge is still there. Like what the fuck, were you dropped on the head when you were a baby? Urgh.

The first full western meal I made. Not exactly full without the desserts & appetizers but the main course & soup was definitely there. To replace bacon mummy & I fried bits of luncheon meat and it was equally nice. Soup was just the normal Campbell chicken mushroom soup with an additional egg in it to give the shark fins' soup feel. It was freaking yummy. Shall do that again someday.

My first try at Everything With Fries (EwF). Seriously in love with it. Very filling too, I couldn't even finish the fries after the nuggets & burger! Wanna go with the bowling comm someday :)

Finally watched Vampire Academy and I was thrilled omg. I watched it twice but sadly they say there may not be anymore VA series coming out :( . Sad girl here. But Swensen's made it all alright haha. My favourite fries and the tartar sauce cream for dips 😁.

My journey to KL without parents but only the bowling club people was fun filled and seriously nothing but fun & deliciously glorious food. The hotel was great, food opposite the hotel was great, the company was great. Bonded with quite a few people and this is the trip I missed the most. Looking forward to the next overseas trip with them!

Spize with the usuals :)

My new guitar that was bought few weeks back at a warehouse clearance sale! I tried to learn it but the chords are still to hard for me to grasp it. Ukulele still seems to be the best for me.

Again another virgin trip to Nando's. It was with the bowling comm people and before this we were at Yeng Ting's house playing asshole tai di. Was also celebrating our passing of exams with a small cup of moscato but ended up betting with it haha! Then KTV with them at NTU Alumni clubhouse til 2am haha.

So another night out after meeting with H.O.T. comm and dinner @ The Tea Party near school. Learnt a new card game called Idiot & taught them to play asshole tai di! Ended up being the noisiest bunch of customer there tonight HAHA. Thank you my mentor for the really pretty huge card and the pocky!

Nutella blossoms! Really delicious and tiny as I thought it will be. May buy next time or even learn how to make it!

A mini teaser of what HMS CSOP'14 has to offer! If any of you guys are in Justice League tribe & coming into HMS, NP, this is what's in for you! Please do treasure it as it is full of us the GLs/SMs/ATLs/TLs effort!

With this to end, I can only say I've found someone worth my time to like. It's still a secret thing but I really wish it'd be a good result some time later!

Xoxo.

End of Year 1

So... On a light note I have officially passed my first year in poly.

On a heavier note, I'm in two committees with only one confirmed role.

A brief summary of my year is due here so here goes:

A new course, a new school and a whole new studying method. ECH gave me a whole new look of studying and staying up to complete assignment is a norm. Oh and the fashion sense here in NP, phew, ridiculously fashionable. English is very important, so is grammar (even though we learn about it too in one of the module as another term - Syntax). If your English is weak, your assignment would most probably get a max B+ and nothing else because the grammar involved in unbearable. I guess that's what happened to me.

Certain courses requires you to change classmates every semester, but I'm thankful that I'm staying with my current classmates for another 2 more years to come. I really don't want to have to do a love/hate relationship. An example: we stay together as one for about 4 months and then we break up and imagine repeating that for another 5 more times! Man that's a nightmare for me and that is another reason why I'm thankful for this course I'm in.

Since this is poly, projects are another norms we see in school and everyone would stay back in school til 9 - 10pm just to finish the basic backbone of the project. Tough work huh. But also, these projects can be fun, if everyone participates equally. This has trained me in being responsible and also tolerant through a few unfortunate events. Even though the information that is in my brain now are totally new knowledge, they were really fun to collect through the different fun process (being in a Humanities & Social Science faculty). Assignments came as a shock to me because what I was used to, is now multiplied 4 times or lesser.

300 x 4 = 1200 words!!!

Yeap, that's the amount I had done in my first year of academics. But that's not the most too. Some lecturers are a dearie, while some, are a devil in disguise. Don't get me wrong, but your class advisors are always the best and kindest lecturers (ahem, like mine).

Now CCAs, it's not compulsory but it's kinda good to have one in poly. It looks good on your university application you know. There's no limit as to how many CCAs you want to be in, but just let me tell you this: more than one committee role is no joke so think through. I'm only in my 2nd week of being an official exco member for both my CCAs and one is of heavy work load because it's attendance based while the other is free and easy until there is an event because, well, it's event based. I've completed a few forms, sent an email and phew I'm about to die from fear. I still got a year to go for both and hopefully, it'll go well. So join as many clubs as you want ONLY if you think you can handle all the commitments.

Ah yes, not forgetting food because I'm a glutton and food is the 3rd reason what I'd live for. I don't know about NYP, TP & SP's foodcourt food but I'm pretty satisfied with RP & NP's especially. The cereal fried rice in NP is a must try. RP is just CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. I mean all food in polys are affordable but they are equally pricey if not compared to outside food but the quality is still there. I have a few favourite food stalls already in NP and I see my weight going up up up! But too bad, there's a hill for me to climb everyday to lessons so half of my calories still go away. The other half? Well let's just say I need it to keep me warm because the lecture halls are COLD.

Well I guess this is about it and til the next time.

xoxo.
